The Biblioburro

The Biblioburro is a traveling library pulled by donkeys that distributes books around the countryside. A local man, Luis Soriano, conceived the idea after realizing the importance of literature to children’s education. Soriano believes that reading can lift children out of poverty, so he circulates books around the poorest provinces of his country.
